"Every sunflower turns toward the light. I hope everyone who visits Sunflowers Art Studio leaves having found a little more of their own."
How Art Helped Me Heal
Art has always been part of my life, but after losing my mom, it became a lifeline.
In the quiet moments of grief, I found myself reaching for my journal, paints, and pens. Through creating, I discovered that some emotions are better expressed through art than words. What began as a way to cope became a path toward healing.
One of the most meaningful pieces I've created is a watercolor sunflower in her memory. The sunflower was my mom's favorite flower, and just as it turns toward the light, she was mine—my greatest encourager, my strength, and the person who always believed in me.
Today, that lesson lives at the heart of Sunflowers Art Studio. My hope is that everyone who creates here leaves with a little more confidence, joy, and the understanding that art isn't about perfection—it's about expression, connection, and sometimes, healing.
